Baby items are perfect for passing on. Just think about it. A stroller, a changing table, or a high chair: they look beautiful, meet strict requirements, yet you often only use them for a few years. There is so much lovely stuff that can be passed on, to a new nest. Sometimes after a good cleaning, with a new mattress or a lick of paint, but the potential is there.

When I became a mother myself, I quickly discovered that buying new items isn't always necessary. Reuse is fantastic and much kinder to your wallet. But I also noticed that it's often quite a search. Second-hand can feel like a hassle: vague photos, unclear information, and then seeing how collection goes. Especially when so much is coming your way with a first child, you don't need that.
